About the Exhibit
From paintings and drawings, to bronze cast works, ceramic figures, sculptural tableaus and large-scale installations, Adolph’s pieces offer a unique window into both historic and contemporary life. The layers of visual depth which comprise his work reveal the expressive spontaneity of his philosophy and process.
Moments & Markers, a retrospective exhibit, explores the people, places and unscripted occurrences that make Milwaukee exceptional, as well as the headlines and global events Adolph captured for perpetuity through his unique vision and lens.

Adolph Rosenblatt, husband, father, artist and educator, inspired his entire family to pursue individual artistic visions. Join us for a diverse and stimulating panel discussion detailing the abundant artistic endeavors of the Rosenblatt family. Wife Suzanne, daughter Sarah, and sons Eli and Joshua will talk about growing up with art as a central part of their lives and how Adolph’s life, philosophy and legacy has influenced their creative endeavors.
Sculpted Realities: Adolph Rosenblatt in Perspective

“Perspective” carries both figural and literal meaning, as is extraordinarily clear when looking at the sculpture of Adolph Rosenblatt. Join art historian, Sarah C. Schaefer to examine Rosenblatt’s work as it follows in the legacy of artists like Pieter Bruegel, Honoré Daumier, Alberto Giacometti, and Duane Hanson, who strove to represent the everyday in honest ways.
