Date(s) - Wednesday, June 24th
1:30 pm - 2:00 pm
The murder of George Floyd and the protests that have followed are a clear reminder that racism continues to affect American life, and that all Americans share responsibility in ending it. Explore current racial inequities in America, including the particular challenges faced by Jews of color.
We will be speaking with Shahanna McKinney Baldon, the director of the Edot Midwest Regional Jewish Diversity Collaborative. She also serves in several appointments at Wisconsin Center for Education Research at UW Madison, including in the role of Special Assistant for Diversity and Inclusion. A longtime Wisconsin educator in Jewish and public schools, Shahanna has been a Jewish diversity advocate and leader for over twenty years. She lives in Madison with her husband and children.
This program will be presented virtually via Youtube and Facebook. You can also get it delivered to your email by signing up for our e-newsletter here below.
