Allied in the Fight: A Community Free Day

Celebrate the Civil Rights Movement on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with Jewish Museum Milwaukee’s traveling exhibit, Allied in the Fight: Jews, Black and the Struggle for Civil Rights. In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and in partnership with Milwaukee Museum Week, today admission is FREE for residents of Milwaukee County!

Explore the questions: How can truth lead to healing, what truths must we face, how is truth now being acknowledged in our country, and how might Dr. King and other truth-tellers inspire and guide our actions? Presented by Nurturing Diversity Partners, a leading local equity education firm. 

Behind-the-Scenes Tour: Jewish Milwaukee

Join our Education Director, Ellie Gettinger, for a behind-the-scenes tour of Jewish Museum Milwaukee’s permanent exhibit; highlights include Jake’s Deli, a sculpture by Holocaust survivor Magda Watts, Golda Meir’s time in Milwaukee, the Settlement Cookbook and “The Prophet Jeremiah,” a wall-sized tapestry by artist Marc Chagall.
