Do you have old and unwanted clothes, shoes and linens taking up space in your closets and dressers? De-clutter your house and recycle these items properly at the Jewish Museum Milwaukee Community Textile Recycling Day.
Every year, 85% of all discarded clothing and other textiles — over 21 billion lbs. — is sent to U.S. landfills. Better Earth Textile Recycling (BETR) puts discarded textiles back in the use cycle through recycling and re-purposing, and in doing so keeps them out of landfills and helps to conserve the earth’s precious natural resources. Find more information here:
– Click here to find out more specifically which items are and are NOT accepted.
– Paired wearable shoes are accepted. Click here for a list of UNACCEPTED shoes.

Get $2 off your admission into Jewish Museum Milwaukee through the run of Scrap Yard: Innovators of Recycling (January 30, 2022) by bringing an accepted textile to recycle! Please be sure you are able to haul your own materials.
